Lions Park
Let’s talk about one of my favourite Canmore neighbourhoods, Lions Park.
Lions Park includes the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, which has been a centre of the community for 97 years. It’s a great summer spot for golf, or when it’s absolutely freezing outside, you could also try your hand at curling. Next to that you’ll also find a fabulous community centre.
Lions Park is conveniently located close to both the Bow River and downtown Canmore, so you can walk along the river or to some of our favourite shops and restaurants. It’s no wonder that many full time residents call Lions Park Home.
The neighbourhood actually gets its name from Lions Park, which is central to the area and was originally developed by the Lions Club. It has the usual park suspects like baseball diamonds and tennis courts with some more unusual offerings like ultimate Frisbee.
It’s close to schools, including Canmore Collegiate High, and it’s no wonder that with so many amazing family amenities near by most homes in this region are single family bungalows and detached homes. Houses typically range from one to three million dollars for this rightfully popular area.
