South Canmore
My neighbourhood! With shops, cafes, parks, and more, it’s a great area!
Today we’re in my neck of the woods, South Canmore.
To the right is one of the newer developments in the area: Residences at 7th and 7th, a beautiful new grouping of 38 townhomes that offer some of the best in mountain living right in the centre of South Canmore. The high windows are perfect to take in views of the mountains and the finishes are luxe and welcoming without being pretentious…just like Canmore.
Since it’s northern border is Main Street here on 8th—and its fairly flat—South Canmore is an extremely walkable part of Canmore! I love to pop into Beamers for a local latte, and on one of the 330 days a year where we see the sun here in Canmore, you can often find me walking on the Bow River Trail.
Other outdoor spaces here in South Canmore include Millennium Park, which has a fun little bike park as well as football and baseball fields, and Centennial Park, which has playgrounds for kids and adults alike.
South Canmore is home to both vacation residences and full time families, and for their children, Lawrence Grassi Middle School is right in the neighbourhood and even offers French immersion, while sharing property with the local preschool.
This area was originally predominantly single family homes, but has more recently come to include duplexes and townhouses as well. Prices start in the 500s and top out around 2 million for beautiful single family homes.
As a long time resident of South Canmore and exp realtor I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the neighbourhood. Send me an email if you’d like to get started!
